Lacy Cardstock

lacy cardstockOn page 54 of our January issue we featured Louise Fortune's layouts using lacy cardstock, cut on the CraftRobo. If you're lucky enough to own a CraftRobo (or are extremely patient and skillful with a craft knife!) then you can download the templates that she used to make the designs on her 'eight' and 'numbers' layouts. These templates are in jpg format, which means that you will need to use the 'Auto Trace' feature of your CraftRobo software in order to turn them into CraftRobo files. Click on the links below to download the files.

Tracie Hudson's Resolutions Box

Tracie's resolutions box
In our January issue we featured a lovely New Year's resolution box by Tracie Hudson.
If you'd like to have a go at making it, then download the pdf here. It contains templates and full instructions for making the box and the matchbook inserts.

Edited to add: if you're having problems downloading the PDF email me and I'll send it to you directly.

Free tags designed by Jane Dean

If you liked Jane Dean's colourful tags in the January issue of ScrapBook inspirations (on sale 14th Dec 07) then you'll love these free downloadable versions that Jane made for us.

The nine birthday-themed designs are available as an A4 PDF or JPG. Both are just the black outlines. To use them simply print onto heavy paper or cardstock and then decorate them however you like.

Download a high resolution PDF (15MB, may take a while)
Download a low resolution JPG (800KB)

To download either right-click on the link and save to your computer.

To view the PDF file you will need Adobe Reader. This is available as a free download from Adobe's website.

Sarah's welly - one of our Best of British Scrapbooking winners!

Did you see the winning entries to Best of British Scrapbooking 2007? They're all featured in the January issue of ScrapBook inspirations - on sale now.

Sarah Veness, one of our two altered art winners, sent in her wonderful (and frankly, totally mad!) altered welly, drawing curious stares from all over the office. We loved it, but didn't have space to show it from every angle in the magazine. So here are a few extra shots:

Inside a seed packet is a tag with some of Sarah's journaling.

The Secret Garden mini book opens out to reveal flowery photos.

The other side of the boot. We love the flowers peeking from the top!

Locked behind the door to the kitchen garden...

The tool shed!

Make sure you get hold of a copy of the January issue to see all of our winners and to read the story behind Sarah's welly.

Free Christmas photocard downloads

This Christmas, for the first time in years, I have admitted defeat and realised I simply won't have time to make all my Christmas cards myself. I've signed up for Shimelle's Journaling your Christmas class and any spare time is taken up with preparing my pages for that. I do still hope to make a few special cards for my closest family and so I was thrilled to spot these free photocard downloads on the Digital Camera mag website. They work in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements and there 10 designs to choose from. I'm sure I'll be able to make up a couple of these in time - I just need to find my most Christmassy pics.
