Readers Gallery Call

Send us your pages .....

We are currently looking for your original page designs for the Readers Gallery for the following themes:

BIRTHDAYS - special birthdays that end with a big zero, children's parties, fun days out.... we'd love to see your pages showing those special celebrations.

PAGES with DIMENSION - do you love adding layers to your layers or have you got a thing for chunky accessories? And what about flaps and hidden doors? Show us your lumpy bumpy 3D style pages.

Email a digital image (please make sure they are not huge files) of your layout to me at our dedicated address sigallery@futurenet.co.uk. Remember to add your choice of theme to the subject line. All we ask is that your layouts are your own work and that you haven¹t submitted them to any other magazine. Scrapbook Inspirations does not accept layouts that have been published elsewhere, that are being considered for publication or have been entered in any competitions.

Please include the following details with your submissions: About you Your name, address, daytime phone number and email. About your layout Title of your layout, a few words to describe the story behind the photos and what inspired your design. Tell us about the techniques you used and your favourite products. About your hobby How long you¹ve been scrapping and what inspired you to get started. Have you ever had any of your work published before? What's your favourite product? Supplies What supplies you used and where you got them from.

See there's nothing to it and you've got plenty of time as the closing date for entries is 12 November 2008 - I will email those selected by 15 November.

We are still recovering from the sugar OD that is Halloween in our house ! Hope you took lots of pictures of your little ghosts & ghouls - here are my mine

Hello, my name is...

Have you ever seen those 'Hello My Name is' stickers? I'm fairly sure they're American because I've only seen them in films, so I was pretty pleased when I found a link to make my own versions online. Street Stickers has a very large gallery of photos of graphics and stickers, as seen around towns and cities.

The site also includes a sticker machine which allows you to make your own. You can personalise all of the text and the colour, and if you wish, add a graffiti tag. Press the print button and you get an A4 sheet of colour stickers to print out (and helpfully they've even supplied the Avery sticker reference number so you can get exactly the right ones!).

I had a play:

You can leave the tag part blank and add your own name after printing. This is a fairly classic style I'd say.

Then I came up with this one. It's possible that only Shimelle would find this amusing, but there we go! I saved off the prints as a PDF so I can keep printing more. I think they'll make cool accents for layouts.
