In the November issue of Scrapbook Inspirations Anita Mundt shares her fabric mini book that is housed in a miniature bird cage. The ornate cage measures just 8in tall - perfect for a tiny album or memento! The cage is painted a soft blue colour, and Anita decorated hers with paper flowers. Inside she used image transfer techniques to embellish her book's pages. You'll find instructions for this plus another idea for incorporating image transfers onto your layouts in the November issue.

I've just updated several of the clubs and crops pages here on the blog with new details. We've got well over 200 clubs listed here, so if you're looking for a group to join you're in the right place. If you've never looked for clubs here before, I've got a few tips to help you:

The first thing to know is that the clubs are divided into rough geographical groups. I made the groups and I'll be the first to admit they're quite general. It's worth looking in the different groups that might be near you too - especially if you live near a county boundary. I've tried to keep the lists alphabetical as well as adding subheads to help find what you need.

If you choose 'Clubs' from the Categories list up on the top-left of the blog you'll be able to see all the posts labelled 'Clubs and Crops' on the blog.

* East (including Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Lincolnshire)
* North West (including Cheshire and Manchester)
* North East
* Wales
* South East (including Kent, London, East Sussex, West Sussex, Brighton & Hove, Essex, Surrey, Middlesex, Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire)

If you click on any of these you'll be taken to a page with all the clubs I currently have details for in that area. Remember to check in the magazine too - the latest club details are always listed in there.

If you run a club or crop and your details aren't on the blog, drop me an email at scrapbookinspirations@futurenet.com. I need your club name, meeting time and place and contact details. A lot of these club details have been with the magazine for several years so it's likely that some clubs have closed, or changed their times. Unless someone emails me to tell me I won't know! If you want to update your details, email me at the same address and tell me what's new.

If you're planning on going along to any of the clubs or crops listed here, it's definitely a good idea to contact the organiser first as the details may have changed. Every club varies - some charge a small entry fee to attend, some provide tools or materials and others nothing at all, so it's best to call or email first so you know exactly what to expect!

The Effer Dares challenge blog has recently undergone a revamp – meaning there is even more inspiration to be found there! The Effers – the seven scrapbookers behind the blog – make use of Twitter, Facebook and Flickr to bring fresh weekly challenges to the world of scrapbooking. Their projects include layouts, mini books and home decór items so there’s loads to see. Play along with the Dares by posting links of your own interpretations too.

Scrapbooker Karen Cole has a real knack for finding cool websites for scrapbook shopping and inspiration. On her blog, Red Art Scrapping, she links to other sites she enjoys looking at, and posts loads of her own beautiful layouts for you to drool over. We really admire the way Karen bases her scrapbook layouts around various stories she has encountered in her life, as well as some of the more random themes she comes up with! Well worth a visit.

Design team member Cheryl Johnson is a woman of many talents and Feelgood Photos is a testament to this as she documents her roles as wife, mother, teacher, scrapbooker and photographer. Take a peek at her professional photos taken at weddings, in her studio and at scrapping events. Cheryl shows that scrapbooks don’t just have to be displayed literally as books but that they can also be a series of photos celebrating the things that you enjoy.

Take inspiration from the colourful photographs of Leslie Shewring. Leslie’s blog, A Creative Mint, is home to her irresistible collection of ‘colour investigations’, including these elegant avocado and turquoise photos (above). Bringing together eclectic arrangements of beautiful objects, Leslie’s photographs can make you look again at the world around you and find new links between colour and design to boost your mojo! An absolute treat of a website, well worth a look.

Kiki Lowenstein, the feisty heroine of the ‘Scrap n Craft’ series of scrapbooking crime novels is back for round two! Cut, Copy & Die is the latest book from scrapbooker and novelist Joanna Campbell Slan. It picks up where book one (Paper, Scissors, Death!) left off and we’re quickly drawn into the drama when a local celebrity scrapbooker dies at a crop. The character of Kiki is lovable and familiar – you’ll find yourself smiling in sympathy and understanding at some of the dilemmas she finds herself in! * Here’s Lookin at me Kid is the blogging home of scrapbooker Amanda Johnson. Her layouts have a dreamy yet modern feel and she also makes gorgeous mini books, including a great one about a house renovation project.

* Those seeking photography inspiration should visit the very beautiful Ink on my Fingers blog. Photographer Susannah Conway takes inspirational and dreamy pictures and she also runs online classes for those seeking a new view on their lives.

* Elisa Nishimura’s blog Hybrid Alien is packed with her gorgeous layouts. We love her use of colour and the totally original approach she brings to her pages. This charming layout, ‘Don’t change’, is about Elisha’s son (above) and was created using supplies left over from a class by scrapbooker Celine Navarro.

Design team member Shimelle Laine has a pretty layout up on the Fiskars website - it includes instructions for using punches and pinking shears to create borders. I love the ruffled strip of Amy Butler fabric - and best of all, no sewing machine required! - Shimelle used adhesive to hold the folds in place.

Ooooh! The generous folk at Kaisercraft are giving away their first all-digi kit on their website. The collection is called 'Tag this' and it consists of a cool mix of music inspired designs in zingy lime and navy. If you're new to digi Kaisercraft have also supplied a helpful how-to digi guide.
